Wonderful week at Cape Cottage! The place is amazing. Exactly like photos and even better! The cottage is perfect: very clean, comfortable, well equipped (dishes, electric BBQ, Netflix, large balconies- with dining area, hammock, armchairs – garden, beautiful views of the sea and close to the beach). A special mention has the bed room with comfortable bed and amazing water view. The cottage is located in a quiet and charming place that is 2 minutes from Cape Forchu lighthouse, 15 minutes from Yarmouth and 1 hour from Digby. The perfect place to relax! We have barely sighted the neighbors in 7 days … The hosts, Carla and Brent, are welcoming and caring with the visitors. They give you a guided tour of the place when you arrive and give you plenty of ideas for activities and outings in the area. Good lobster for sale less than 5 minutes drive, a second beach 10 minutes and kayak rental, canoeing and swimming a little further down the road. Spectacular Romantic Getaway!! Cannot say enough about how wonderful Carla & Brent’s cottage was! Exactly what we were looking for in a quiet, scenic and romantic location – it has it all!! Stunning location and peaceful few days. The cottage had everything anyone would need. Enjoyed long walks on the beach and even got a spectacular sunrise on Saturday before the fog rolled in. Who knew?! What an experience being here while Category 2 Hurricane Dorian was as well! No power for two days – but the sights were amazing. Your cottage was a perfect place to be! A beautiful spot just outside of Yarmouth amongst a fishing community on a beach where you can wake up to the sunrise and venture out onto the front deck to have your first coffee of the day. That’s just to start your day, there’s an excellent beach as I’ve said just in front of this property that is excellent for walks or any beach activities. It is very clean and quite large, especially when you’ve hit low tide. There’s also the lighthouse which is right across the way, with the Leif Ericsson Trail to provide you with more beautiful views, a true geological wonder like Peggy’s Cove. My wife and I like to cook when we are away, so we packed a lot of things that we would need to prepare some of our meals. We didn’t need any of it, I have never seen a cottage rental have so many amenities. When we arrived Brent had greeted us and gave us a tour of the place and showed us where everything is, which is a big help to get you off and running. What else can I say great place, great owners, we will definitely be coming back again. ~ Joel & Cicely – Bridgewater, NS

WoW! What a gem you guys have here! Thank you so much for sharing it with us for a few nights! We felt like VIPS. I think our favourite part (aside from the cozy cottage and wonderful views) was not having anything on our agenda each day. Even with a chill in the air overnight, we couldn’t resist keeping a window open at night to fall asleep to the waves. We came up hoping to escape the city and your place delivered!
