The first thing you’ll notice when you turn into the driveway is the spectacular view. Across the bay, the Cape Forchu lighthouse stands tall on a craggy outcrop. Great Blue Herons wade gracefully in the coastline tidal pools.
Settle into a settee overlooking the wide half-kilometre-long beach to watch the waves and wildlife. On the south side of the cottage is another deck, wind-sheltered and perfect for soaking up the sun while listening to the gentle lull of the surf. If you prefer to dig your toes in the sand, it’s just a two-minute walk to the beach in front of the cottage. At the east end you can cross the road to access another sandy oasis – John’s Cove Beach.

The famous Cape Forchu Lighthouse, where the movie ‘The Lighthouse,’ starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson was filmed in 2018, is just one mile away. (Click here to see the trailer.)
During the summer, the Keepers Kitchen serves up rolls stuffed with lobster or scallops, seafood chowder and other scrumptious fare.

Or if you prefer to pick up your own live lobster from a pound less than two miles from the cottage, you can cook in-house. Just follow this map to Stanley’s Lobster Co. Ltd. at the Yarmouth Bar and ask for Ernie.
